The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it really is alarmed in regards to the higher number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area SRD on a regular basis. The company stage designed for intervention activities a high inflow of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
